Abstract

The testing phase is always one of the important stages of developing software. Without this stage, software errors will be difficult to find at the beginning of software development. This study uses a decision table method that aims to shorten the rule of software testing. The advantage of this method is that it can help make fewer rule combinations for testing. This study uses a medical information system as a case study. In the medical information system, 20 test cases were identified early in the software testing process. Of the 20 test cases, seven test cases that have the same characteristics so that they can be combined into only 13 test cases. Therefore, it can be concluded that the decision table method can reduce software testing time
